The National Cancer Exhibits Program
Vigilant manages the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) national Exhibit Program http://exhibits.cancer.gov/ which consists of a national exhibit program and an exhibit library. The exhibit program comprises of 20 to 30 national meetings, and 100 exhibit loans each year. Vigilant promotes patient education materials and materials written for health professionals and cancer researchers.
Vigilant is responsible for all aspects of the NCI Exhibit Program including:
- research of new opportunities within the tradeshow market
- negotiates with professional organizations regarding full-event life cycle logistics
- provides booth layout, installation and dismantle supervision
- secures all necessary show services for the exhibit booth (e.g material handling, shipping, electrical requirements, Internet connections, catering service, set-up and dismantle labor through labor union, booth cleaning, and sign rigging
- provides new graphic design, fabrication for exhibit structure, and the selection, shipment
- staffs exhibits on behalf of NCI
- establishes efficient systems and procedures of meeting NCI's goals
- installs and operate audio/visual systems for the exhibits to include trouble shooting technical problems
- displays, storages, and disseminate of literature and giveaways
- distributes free publications on cancer to those conference attendees who visited the booth
- produces photographs of the exhibit and graphics to display on the web site and for subsequent use in advertisements and newsletters
- inventory tracking of all structures and graphics
- maintains and warehousing of exhibit structures and graphics
- maintains of NCI Exhibit Program website
- manage budgets, including projections of expenses, and post actual reports
- makes travel reservations and bookings
- provides post-show evaluation, feedback and cost reports
